Speed Measurement
Select a suitable measurement location, avoid stones, ensure that the steel needle will not touch hard objects, maintain the original tightness of the soil below, hold the sensor vertically and insert it into the soil, and do not shake left and right during insertion.

Buried Measurement
Dig a vertical hole, insert the sensor steel needle into the hole to be measured, and then compact the pit to ensure that the steel needle is in close contact with the soil.

Things to pay attention during installation?
- All steel needles must be inserted into the soil during measurement.
- Avoid exposing the sensor directly to strong sunlight and high temperatures.
- Do not forcefully bend the steel needle or pull the sensor lead wire.
- Due to high-frequency electromagnetic radiation in the air, the sensor should not be exposed to the air for extended periods of time while powered.
What exactly does the sensor measure as humidity?
The sensor measures the percentage of volume that is water. 0% means completely dry, such as when the sensor is in the air, and close to 100% when fully submerged in water.
The percentage depends on the soil composition, installation depth, and other environmental factors.
Under normal conditions, soil moisture readings are typically below 50-60%.
To set rules based on the sensor measurements, observe the values in practice for your specific case.
What if the power goes out?
In the event of a power or internet outage, you can receive alerts by setting up a rule that checks if the device has been disconnected.
