Pressure-Based Level Measurement
Know exactly how much water is available without manual checks.
Instead of measuring the distance from the top of the tank, HAM DepthSense measures the hydrostatic pressure at the bottom of the water column.
This makes it particularly suitable for applications such as:
- Water tanks and reservoirs
- Deep wells and boreholes
- Irrigation tanks
- Agricultural water storage
- Industrial water tanks
- Rainwater storage systems
- Remote water infrastructure
The pressure sensor is submerged directly into the water and provides continuous measurements without requiring line-of-sight to the water surface.

Real-Time Monitoring from Anywhere
Monitor your installation from your smartphone or computer, wherever you are.
Check the current water level at any time through the HAM Android, iOS and Web application.
View both current and historical measurements to understand water consumption, refilling patterns and unexpected level changes.
Historical data can also be exported to PDF or CSV reports.
Peace of mind
Instant alerts via app, email, SMS, phone call
Create customized rules based on the measured water level.
For example:
Water level below 20% → Send notification
or
Water level above 95% → High-level warning
Alerts can be delivered through:
App notifications - Email - SMS - Phone call
This allows you to react quickly to low water levels, unexpected consumption, filling problems or possible overflow conditions.
How It Works
1. Place the sensor inside the tank or well
The pressure probe is submerged and positioned near the bottom of the water column.
2. The sensor measures hydrostatic pressure
The pressure changes according to the height of the water above the sensor.
3. HAM DepthSense calculates the water level
The measurement is converted into useful level information.
4. View everything remotely
Check current level, historical measurements and alerts through the HAM platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between HAM DepthSense and HAM SonicSense?
HAM SonicSense uses an ultrasonic sensor installed above the liquid to measure the distance to the water surface. HAM DepthSense uses a submersible pressure sensor placed inside the water.
Pressure-based measurement is particularly useful for deep tanks, wells and installations where mounting an ultrasonic sensor above the water is difficult.
Can I see the tank level as a percentage?
Yes. After configuring the installation according to the tank or water-column height, the HAM platform can display the measured level in an easy-to-understand form and allow rules to be created based on defined limits.
Does the sensor have to be inside the water?
Yes. The pressure probe is designed to be fully submerged in the liquid and is IP68 rated.
The HAM monitoring device itself must remain outside the water, installed in a safe and dry location, as it is IP20 rated.
What if the power goes out?
In the event of a power or internet outage, you can receive alerts by setting up a rule that checks if the device has been disconnected.
Where are they made?
Our devices are designed and tested in EU (Greece). All of our devices have passed all required lab tests to have the CE mark affixed.
Will you support me?
