Assistive LLMs for software Engineering Via modeling and Transforming Entities

Alleviate

HAM Systems participates in ALLEVIATE (Assistive LLMs for software Engineering Via modeling and Transforming Entities, ΕΚΠΑΡ01-0080512).

ALLEVIATE is developing a user-friendly platform that enables anyone to create applications without requiring programming knowledge. Users simply describe in natural language what they want their application to do, and the platform guides them through the development process.

The project has a duration of 24 months and is implemented by a consortium of four companies: VILABS OE, CYCLOPT, Pharm24, and HAM Systems.

Within the project, HAM Systems contributes as an IoT pilot company, validating the developed technologies in real-world IoT and Cyber-Physical Systems applications.

Project Objectives

  • Develop a unified low-code/no-code platform that enables individuals without programming expertise (citizen developers) to rapidly create applications.
  • Generate reliable applications through natural language interaction with Large Language Models (LLMs) trained in model-driven software development methodologies.
  • Develop Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) for high-demand areas, such as cyber-physical systems, conversational assistants, web dashboards, and machine learning.
  • Validate the platform through real-world pilot applications conducted by companies specializing in online pharmacies (PHARM24) and smart home systems (HAM Systems).

Expected Results

  • An internationally competitive cloud-based platform (ALLEVIATE) capable of generating quality-validated, ready-to-execute code exclusively from natural language descriptions.
  • An innovative conversational assistant that simplifies the process of defining application requirements and specifications.
  • A range of tools and Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) tailored to different application domains.
  • An online marketplace (store) where users can share, exchange, or sell ready-made models and DSLs.

Funding

The project is co-funded by the European Union under the "Research – Innovate" Action of the "Competitiveness" Programme, within the framework of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF/ESPA) 2021–2027.
